Summer in Arizona typically calls for a cool reprieve. In my opinion, there are two choices: A stay at a swanky Scottsdale hotel; or a few days on a Mexican beach. I recently combined the two for a super-roadtrip.
I know from experience that driving across the border into Mexico has its pros and cons. Usually, it’s all good for me, but on a recent trip, I experienced something new.
Rocky Point, Sonora, Mexico conjures up so many wonderful memories for me. As a long-time Arizonan, the Mexican beach town has been an ocean get-away for my family for decades. Despite changes over the years, I still see it as the charming place where I can jump waves, eat shrimp cocktails, and buy colorful native art.
